Custom Fit Carry Case For The Toucan Split Mechanical Keyboard
I’m happy to be starting the year by making another custom fit case for the Toucan keyboard. This one is for Albert in Greenwich, Connecticut. In November, I made the first one for Justin in Texas and really liked the way in turned out. It was compact and portable.
The Toucan by Beekeeb is a low-profile wireless split mechanical keyboard. The reason why it needed a custom size case is because the right half has a built-in trackpad. Without the trackpad, both halves would fit in the Small Low-Profile Split carry case.
The Toucan (Touch Cantor) is a neat keyboard. It shares the same layout as the popular Piantor and Cantor keyboard, but adds wireless connectivity, a memory display and a trackpad.
I’m just using a set of low-profile split keyboards to show that there’s extra room in the case for the trackpad. For the Toucan, the right half with the trackpad can go in the main compartment and the other half can go into the front compartment.
The whole carry case is fully padded for both compartments.
