40% Carrying Case For The Boardsource Equals 60 Ortholinear Mechanical Keyboard

40% Mechananical Keyboard Case or Sleeve in Charcoal And Brown

Zameer, from New York City, wrote in asking about which carry case or sleeve would fit his Boardsource Equals 60 ortholinear keyboard. I’ve had this question a few times before, so I thought I would write a short post on this.

This one is a bit tricky. Since the name says it’s a 60% keyboard, you would think that a 60% case would fit it best. I’m glad Zameer asked because it actually fits in a 40% carry case.

My husband, Christian, did a little research on the Boardsource Equals 60, which has a 5×12 ortholinear grid layout. He found that it’s very similar to the DROP Planck keyboard that he uses daily.

It’s a 60-key keyboard but because it’s ortholinear and the keyboard is completely flat with no incline, it actually fits in our 40% sleeve.

Zameer ordered his case in charcoal grey and brown. He wrote in when he received it and was really happy about the fit of the case. I’m glad we were able to help him. It’s also a great way for us to learn about some new keyboards.

The 40% carrying case also comes in midnight blue, brown or you can choose your own custom colours. Please take a look at the online shop, if you’re looking for a case and as always, contact us if you’re unsure about fit. Thanks! -Cat
