Working On Bags For The Brompton Folding Bike

I received my Brompton folding bike just before last Christmas (see previous post). It’s been keeping me company in the studio, as it was a very cold winter and early Spring. It’s almost time to ride though. The weather in Eastern Canada becomes consistently warm in mid-May.

I’ve been thinking about how the existing totes that I make will be compatible with the Brompton. Here is my custom olive green Medium Zipper Tote on the front carrier rack. I won’t know for sure how well it works until I bring it out for rides, which will actually start this weekend!

For the time being, I created the carrier block bag release strap and it’s in the shop. This is to make it easier for you to remove the entire rack and bag by pulling on the leather handle. Also available in black.
