I Will Miss You Summer…

I really like Ottawa summers. We get up early to beat the afternoon heat. Sometimes we explore the city, take a bike ride or go for a walk. Here are a few photos from this summer.

We found a couple of places for apple and raspberry picking along our walks.
This is at Hog’s Back Falls, a park in the middle of the city. I’ve been using the waistpack I made all summer. It was so useful to carry very little and be hands-free.

I put it through the test all summer and am very happy with it. It has 3 interior organizational pockets and one exterior phone pocket. It will be in the shop soon.

Carleton University Campus. It’s in the middle of the city along the Ottawa River. What a beautiful place to study and think of new ideas.
The south end of the historic Rideau Canal. The north and middle of the canal (closer to downtown) freezes each winter and it becomes the world’s longest skateway.
At the top of Parliament Hill. Being the capital of Canada, there were often protests, especially of Covid related issues. We were lucky we came on a protest-free day.
Bike riding along the Rideau Canal. Ottawa has great bike and walking paths all over the city. This is my foldable bike. With 20″ wheels, it feels like riding a BMX bike like when I was a kid.
