Custom Bag: Field Bag for an Apple 13″ MacBook Air Laptop
I created this custom Field Bag for a gentleman in London, England.
He wanted to have a bag that is handmade just for his 13-inch Apple MacBook Air. The Field Bag that I have in stock is a little smaller than that.
He told me he travels light and just wanted a little extra space for his belongings.
The finished bag is 14-in. wide when filled (16-in. flat) x 10-in. high x 3-in. deep.
This bag has a Midnight Blue lightly waxed canvas body that is water resistant. The adjustable leather strap is 1-in. wide and made out of a top grain cowhide. All the hardware is solid brass for beauty and durability.
Coincidentally I have the exact laptop as my customer, so I was able to try it out for size. The laptop slipped in nicely. Even with a cover it would fit well into this messenger field bag.
You can’t see it from this picture, but the lining is a tanned coloured cotton twill. It has one interior pocket that can fit an iPad Mini. On the back exterior of the bag, it has a slip pocket.
